This was a solo ride, and basically came out great. If you’re following in my footsteps, this is NOT a beginner ride. There is nothing very difficult in it, but it is more difficult than “graded mainline”.

So, one of the great things about going up to buy those panniers from David Williams was getting to meet, talk to, and ride with David Williams :). His posts and pictures on advrider.com help encourage me get out and “adventure”.

I rode up to Campbell River to get buy some rear panniers from Gunnerbuck (David Williams). After heavy rain around 10am it cleared up nicely before my noon departure. This was the first “long” trip I’ve made on a motorbike. Continue reading “Victoria to Campbell River. 2016/02/22”

Went back to the Tugwell area today. Got there a little after 11am and left about 6 hours later… exhausted. I rode a lot of non-trivial road and trails. Found a number of loops, and the last “road” I explored had lots of trails off of it, but I simply ran out of time.

Went out solo on Tuesday. Was supposed to go back out to Tugwell E, but wanted to see if Butler was open. It was, so I went up it to see if the snow had disappeared, and it certainly was gone between the 6 and 8km markers where I got stopped last time. So I kept going…
